AC-coupled retrofit
Adds a separate battery inverter alongside your existing solar inverter. Often the most flexible path when the original equipment must stay in place.
DC-coupled retrofit
Connects the battery on the DC side, which can be efficient but generally requires compatible equipment and rewiring.
Hybrid inverter replacement
Replaces the existing inverter with one that manages both solar and storage. May be appropriate when equipment is aging or unsupported.
Compatibility-dependent cases
Some microinverter, string inverter, lease, and PPA situations limit or prevent retrofits. We will tell you plainly if a retrofit is not advisable.
